UWBASE’s Annual Showcase, Back To Base brings together local talent, students and the greater Waterloo community in a celebration of Black Excellence.
We closed out Black History Month with a bang featuring preformances by TOBi, Reharm and student talent. Local artists took to the stage for a line up of engaging, emotional and exciting preformances. FInishing up the evening with a soldout afterparty!
Maxwell’s and Wilfred Laurier Univeristy provided us with the two venues where it all came to life.

I ideated the creative direction, and was the stage manager during the show, creating a schedule, running through soundcheck and keeping the team on track for the evening.
This year the headlining act was TOBi. He lit up the stage with preformances of ‘Beige’, ‘City Blues’, ‘Come Back Home’ and a first time preformance of ‘Supergiant’ ft. Big Gigantic.
I designed the logo, posters, videos, and social media assets all inspired by the theme of “homecoming” through iconography and imagery.
